Aloha lets take the other road....

Aloha lovelies....

So after a stressful but sucessful engagement party, I decided I can't do another one of those with more people and extra craziness. My sister and a few friends of ours who are married manage to talk me into Hawaii...

yeah ...

So back to the board of wedding planning I went. Hawaii has it pros and cons...for the longest I battle with only seeing more of the cons than the pros. When I get stuck in my ways, stubborn capricorn takes over and it takes mountain hills to move me to the other side where the grass is the same green but from preciption tends to look greener.

First task of Hawaii is finding out more about it as I've never been and neither has my man. We could ask friends and family who have and some suggested places...but than again if you are a sucba diving freak or a extreme kayaking guru, what you look for on vacation isn't what I do. I look at resort that offer all types of cool events for free, but once again nothing I care for. I thought maybe I would go for a place with a good luau, but came back to reality as I don't eat pork, chicken or beef and my man doesn't eat pork and many of our friends and family are either mainly vegatarian or non-pork eaters. So why spend money on a pricey thing if I won't enjoy the food?

I found a cool site that help me determined what Hawaii Island was best for us...kid friendly, beautiful rainforest and pretty beaches (even though I am not really a sand and beach type of girl). A semi tiny night life and still has nices area for those scuba and kayaking group and golf (if anyone is into it).

The conclusion was Maui.

So there you have it...

we are planning a wedding in Maui,

Pros:
it is a vacation for all
it is warm and beautiful
it's relaxing
less guest than a big stressful party
non of the traditional life draining rituals

Cons:
many people we want might not be able to make it
I kind of like the traditional wedding stuff
planning everything from long distant.

One thing I am happy about is the fact that now I get to strut my stuff on the beach in my awesome "Bride" flip flops I got from target... (I knew there was a reason I brought those)..lol

For those wanted to come to the wedding this is your waring...we are going to Maui,...start saving your pennies now.

Aloha
Januari
:)
